[on her parents, who took her in at the age of 3 and had cared for her right from her birth] Because there's a lot of difference between us I became more interested in what their childhood was like. I fantasized about how it felt to be young in the 30s and '50s more so than other kids at my age. Personal life. The 16th of April, 2021 Olsen made public her gay identity. Olsen made public in 2022 about her breakup with Adele Thibodeaux and revealed she was a fan of singer Meg Duffy, a long-time friendship. Olsen made it clear that she came out as gay in early 2021. Born and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, Olsen began performing in the city's cafes during her teenage years, eventually becoming more independent and tapping into the community of artists who share similar views. The path she took to success began in Chicago, where she worked alongside Emmett Kelly of California as a part the Cairo Gang collective. All Mirrors featured dark synth-rock that was almost gothic and an affecting exploration into orchestral music on her previous album. Big Time was the first Olsen's album that consciously sang about lesbian desire. On this album, Olsen resorted to a traditional music genre that has an extensive history. This makes sense.
